What makes Pets After Dark different than other after-hours tele-health services?

Pets After Dark is the only after-hours tele-health service that connects you to your regular vet or a local vet who knows your regular vet – and sends you and your regular vet a consultation summary afterward. If you become a PAD Premium subscriber you’re also guaranteed a follow-up appointment with your regular vet during their next office day, plus additional premium benefits.

What does Pets After Dark cost?

All three of our services immediately connect you to your veterinarian or a local vet who knows them, and all three provide a medical summary to your regular vet immediately afterward. Pets After Dark subscribers pay $19.95 per month ($229.40 if paid upfront.) Minimum 12-month commitment. Pets After Dark Premium subscribers pay $99.95 per month ($1,099.45 if paid upfront) and are also guaranteed an in-office appointment with their regular veterinarian the next business day plus additional premium benefits. Minimum 12-month commitment. Single Consultations cost $99.95 per consultation, with your payment credited to either Pets After Dark subscription plan if you subscribe within 30 days of your single consultation.

How are Pets After Dark subscriptions and Single Consultations billed?

PAD Subscribers: If you choose to pay by the month, we will charge the credit card you enter when you subscribe $19.95 on the first day of each of the 12 months of your annual subscription period. If you pay upfront, your credit card will be charged $229.40 (a $10 savings compared to paying monthly) when you subscribe.

PAD Premium Subscribers: If you choose to pay by the month, we will charge the credit card you enter when you subscribe $99.95 on the first day of each of the 12 months of your annual subscription period. If you pay upfront, your credit card will be charged $1,099.45 (a one month’s savings compared to paying monthly) when you subscribe.

Single Consultations: We will charge the credit card you enter $99.95 prior to the consultation. If you subscribe to PAD or PAD Premium within 30 days of your consultation we will apply a $99.95 credit to your subscription price.

Can I cancel my subscription at any point during the 12-month subscription period?

No. Subscriptions are non-cancellable and non-refundable.

However, in the unfortunate event that your pet dies, we will cancel your subscription before the next billing cycle.

Do you offer à la carte service or per-episode service?

Yes. We offer single consultations for a fee of $99.95 per consultation. If you subscribe to PAD or PAD Premium within 30 days of your consultation we will apply a $99.95 credit to your subscription price.

How does Pets After Dark get my pet’s medical summary?

When you subscribe to PAD Premium you’ll authorize us to obtain your pet’s medical summary from your regular vet (or their office). The medical summary will be kept securely on file by Pets After Dark, for our on-call veterinarian to refer to as necessary during your consultation.

Is the guaranteed next office day follow-up appointment with my regular vet that’s part of my PAD Premium subscription covered by my Premium plan subscription fee? And is the follow-up visit with my regular vet mandatory?

The cost of your next day appointment with your regular vet is not covered within your PAD Premium subscription fee. Further, the next day appointment is not mandatory, but if you and the Pets After Dark on-call vet agree you should see your regular vet tomorrow, it’s reassuring to know the appointment is there for you.

Do you have a Refer-a-Friend program?

Yes, for PAD Premium Plan subscribers only. For every friend a PAD Premium subscriber refers who becomes a PAD or PAD Premium subscriber, the referring PAD Premium subscriber will receive a $99.95 credit after their friend’s first full month of membership. For example, if your friend subscribes during the month of June you’ll receive your $99.95 credit at the beginning of August.
